In the Eighties, a change in production strategy led Manifattura di Domodossola to develop its research and experimentation procedures and decide to manage all its production cycles internally. The need was felt to provide its customers with high quality, up-to-date items, thereby protecting both the end customers and the shop floor workers. It was therefore decided to invest heavily in technology and machines, many of which were designed by the technicians working at the factory.

The main objectives include respect for the environment and consumer friendliness. This is achieved by using natural raw materials and completely non-toxic components. The vegetable-tanned leather and yarns are dyed and waxed with fully natural, water-based products.
